Naam Sunbeam: A Symbol of Unity and Support

Organizations that have a large number of members usually struggle to interact with one another. To overcome this challenge, Sunbeam schools have organized NAAM Sunbeam, which has 500 members, from the housekeeping staff to the chairman. NAAM Sunbeam was established with the noble purpose of fostering unity, staff motivation, and mutual support among all members of the Sunbeam community, from housekeeping staff to the chairman. With 650 dedicated members, the organization ensures that every individual feels valued and connected, overcoming the common challenge of interaction in large institutions. The monthly meetings serve as soul-enriching gatherings where prayers from different faiths are sung by members of other religions, promoting harmony and inclusivity. In addition to spiritual enrichment, NAAM Sunbeam provides financial assistance through a collective fundraising initiative, where members contribute an amount based on their salaries, and the management matches the collected amount, doubling the support. This fund is then distributed as cash gifts to all members, reinforcing a culture of generosity and fraternity.

Beyond financial assistance, NAAM Sunbeam takes pride in its social welfare initiatives, including the “Uyir Thittam” (Life Scheme), where small monthly contributions which again are equally shared by the management accumulate into a substantial fund for emergencies or collective welfare. The organization also encourages open discussions on important matters, ensuring that every voice is heard without fear or bias. Through special lectures, delivered by PTA members and altruistic individuals, NAAM Sunbeam extends its impact beyond financial aid, strengthening the foundation of care and inclusivity within the Sunbeam family. This initiative, deeply rooted in equality and goodwill, continues to earn appreciation from all members, making Team Sunbeam proud of its socially valuable and people-centric approach. In addition, 4 staff members are selected based on their monthly performance and honoured with a shawl and 5000 rupees cash award on stage in every NAAM monthly meeting 48 members get honoured every year from all departments.
