Today, education is not just a means to an end. It is not restricted to classroom teaching or merely academic excellence. It has transcended into shaping the child’s values, personality and outlook. Educators have to embrace new pedagogic norms and collaborate with students for their development. The advent of blended learning has erased the contours of a strict curriculum. An interdisciplinary approach allows students to develop a well-rounded perspective of the world. For education to be effective, there has to be an amalgamation of the intellectual and creative fields to enhance the cognitive abilities of both hemispheres of the brain. This new approach flourishes in an enriching environment that offers students an avenue for their holistic mental, physical and social development.
